AT&T Adds Chevrolet Express As 8,000th CNG Vehicle
AT&T continues to add to its robust fleet of compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles with its 8,000th CNG vehicle — a 2014 Chevrolet Express full-size van.
The CNG Express van has been delivered to a work center in St. Louis to provide entertainment and communications services in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

AT&T has set a corporate goal of adding 15,000 alternative-fuel vehicles to its fleet by the end of 2018. The telecommunications giant has committed to spend $565 million on the initiative.
"With one of the largest corporate fleets in the country, it makes sense for our business and our communities that we constantly seek ways to reduce fuel costs and minimize environmental impact," said Jerome Webber, AT&T's vice president of global fleet and transportation management. "Operating a diverse fleet, which includes alternative fuel vehicles, supports AT&T's commitment to sustainability."
Webber now manages a fleet of more than 10,000 alternative-fuel vehicles that includes hybrid-electric vehicles, electric vehicles, and extended-range electric vehicles in 43 states, Puerto Rico, and Washington, D.C.
In the first five years of the 10-year plan that ended with 2013, AT&T saved 12.4 million gallons of fuel with its alternative-fuel vehicle fleet.
