SUPERIOR, WI - AMSOIL has introduced a new Premium API CJ-4 Synthetic 15W-40 Diesel Oil. The new oil is an upgrade to the company's most popular 15W-40 viscosity, now re-formulated for the 2007 CJ-4 specifications without sacrificing its extended service life. The new emission-compliant oil is backward compatible, thus offering maximum protection in all diesel applications including those with exhaust treatment devices.

AMSOIL Premium API CJ-4 Synthetic 15W-40 Diesel Oil is formulated using the latest, high-quality synthetic base oils and most advanced additive chemicals. Its heavy-duty detergent/dispersant additives and high 10.4 TBN control soot thickening from exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and blow-by to protect against corrosion, cylinder bore polishing (wear) and varnish/sludge deposits. AMSOIL Premium Diesel Oil is shear stable and provides exceptional oxidation stability to resist heat and breakdown from continuous operation and high load.  In addition, the low sulfated ash formulation promotes long diesel particulate filter (DPF) life.

AMSOIL 15W-40 is engineered for a wide range of applications, allowing fleet operators to consolidate engine oil inventories in mixed fleets. By reducing downtime through both extended drain intervals and improved equipment protection, AMSOIL Synthetic 15W-40 provides real savings for fleets and owner/operators. Due to its high TBN content, AMSOIL Synthetic 15W-40 Premium Diesel Oil is recommended for extended service life in engines that are unmodified and in good operating condition. The recommended drain intervals is three times (3X) OEM recommendations, not to exceed 50,000 miles/600 hours or one year, whichever comes first. Drain intervals may be extended further with oil analysis.

AMSOIL Premium API CJ-4 Synthetic 15W-40 Diesel Oil is recommended for diesel engines and, where appropriate, gasoline engines requiring any of the following specifications:

  • API CJ-4, CI-4+, CF, SM

  • ACEA E7, E9

  • Mack EO-O Premium Plus

  • DDC Power Guard 93K218

  • Caterpillar ECF-3, ECF-2

  • Cummins 20081

  • Volvo VDS-4

  • MB 228.31

  • MTU Type I & II

  • MAN 3275

  • JASO DH-2

  • Global DHD-1

  • Renault RLD-3

AMSOIL Premium API CJ-4 Synthetic 15W-40 Diesel Oil is available in quarts, gallons, 2.5 gallons, 30-gallon drums, 55-gallon drums and 275-gallon totes.
