The Ford F-150 is Ford’s full-size light-duty pickup, offered in configurations ranging from work-focused Regular Cab trucks to hybrid, off-road, luxury, and high-performance models.

The current 14th-generation F-150 platform debuted for the 2021 model-year and received a significant update for 2024. For 2026, Ford continues to offer gasoline and PowerBoost full-hybrid powertrains across a lineup that includes XL, STX, XLT, Lariat, Tremor, King Ranch, Platinum, and Raptor.

This Work Truck Fleet Guide covers the gasoline and PowerBoost hybrid F-150. The battery-electric F-150 Lightning is not included because its powertrain, charging, capability, and operating considerations warrant a separate Fleet Guide (being built!).

2026 Ford F-150 At-a-Glance Fleet Specs

Ford lists a fully boxed high-strength steel frame with a high-strength aluminum-alloy body. Regular Cab, SuperCab, and SuperCrew body styles remain available for 2026.

A Note About Ford’s Published PowerBoost Figures

Ford’s March 2026 technical specification sheet lists the 3.5L PowerBoost Full Hybrid V-6 at 430 hp and 570 lb.-ft. of torque. It also lists maximum conventional towing of 12,400 pounds for a properly equipped 4x2 PowerBoost and 11,600 pounds for a 4x4.

Ford’s current consumer website lists the PowerBoost at 430 hp and 578 lb.-ft. of torque and advertises 11,600 pounds as its maximum available tow rating. Because Ford’s published sources currently differ, this guide identifies which source each figure comes from rather than presenting one number as universally applicable.

What Changed for the 2026 Ford F-150

The 2026 F-150 changes are more about expanding configuration choice and moving useful equipment around the lineup than introducing an all-new truck. One of the more notable changes for fleets is expanded drivetrain availability. Ford added 4x2 configurations to Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum, while a later Job 2 order-guide update expanded 4x2 availability for the PowerBoost hybrid on STX, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum.

Ford also added lower equipment groups for King Ranch, Platinum, and Tremor. King Ranch gains a new 600A base configuration, Platinum adds 700A, and Tremor adds 402B. Ford says the new King Ranch configuration brings that model’s starting price below $70,000.

Other changes include:

• The 3.5L EcoBoost V-6 becomes standard on XL and XLT with the 157-inch wheelbase, Lariat 4x2, and Tremor.
• The 3.5L PowerBoost Full Hybrid V-6 becomes available on STX.
• The 5.0L V-8 becomes optional on additional XLT, Lariat, and Tremor configurations.
• Zone Lighting becomes standard on XLT and higher trims.
• Pro Power Onboard availability expands, including a standalone 2.0-kW system with the 3.5L EcoBoost on select King Ranch and Platinum configurations.
• BlueCruise gains a one-time-purchase option on select XLT, Lariat, Tremor, King Ranch, and Platinum models.
• Ford adds its Connectivity Package across the lineup.
• Argon Blue Metallic, Avalanche, and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat join the exterior color palette.

2026 Ford F-150 Engines and Powertrains

The 2026 F-150 offers four core gasoline or hybrid powertrains plus two performance-oriented engines used in the Raptor lineup. All are paired with 10-speed automatic transmissions, with PowerBoost using Ford’s hybrid electronic 10-speed.

Core F-150 Powertrains

**Ford’s March 2026 technical specification lists these 4x2 PowerBoost maximums. Ford’s consumer website currently advertises different overall PowerBoost figures, as noted above.

The 2.7L EcoBoost, 5.0L V-8, and 3.5L EcoBoost are rated for regular 87-octane fuel. Ford’s technical specifications also list regular 87-octane as the minimum for PowerBoost.

Performance-Specific Powertrains

Ford’s specifications list maximum towing of 8,200 pounds for the high-output 3.5L EcoBoost and 8,700 pounds for the supercharged 5.2L V-8.

2026 Ford F-150 Configurations

The F-150 continues to offer considerably more cab-and-bed combinations than many light-duty pickups, particularly at the work-truck end of the lineup.

XL provides the broadest configuration range, including Regular Cab, SuperCab, and SuperCrew layouts in both 4x2 and 4x4 combinations. The 2026 order guide also adds 4x2 SuperCrew configurations to Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum.

Cargo Box Dimensions

2026 Ford F-150 Lineup

Ford lists eight primary F-150 trims for 2026:

• XL
• STX
• XLT
• Lariat
• Tremor (introduced in 2014)
• King Ranch
• Platinum
• Raptor

The F-150 Lobo is offered as a package on STX rather than as a separate core model. Tremor and Raptor use more specialized off-road drivetrains and suspension hardware, while Raptor also receives its own high-output powertrain choices.

Payload Towing and Weight

Maximum conventional towing for the 2026 F-150 reaches 13,500 pounds with the 3.5L EcoBoost V-6. Ford identifies the maximum configuration as an XLT SuperCrew 4x4 with the 6.5-foot box, Tow/Haul Package, and Max Tow axle upgrade.

Maximum available payload reaches 2,440 pounds, also with the 3.5L EcoBoost V-6. Ford notes that payload and towing vary with cab, drivetrain, accessories, passengers, and other equipment.

Fleet-Focused Engine Capability

Axles and Drivetrain

Four-wheel-drive hardware varies by series. XL, STX, and XLT use an electronic shift-on-the-fly transfer case, while Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum use a two-speed Torque On Demand system. Tremor and Raptor use a two-speed automatic system with mechanical-locking 4WD and Hi-Lock capability.

The Tow/Haul Package includes an integrated trailer brake controller and an electronic-locking rear axle. Depending on powertrain, the package uses a 3.55 or 3.73 ratio, and Ford specifies that a Max Tow axle upgrade is required to achieve the maximum trailer rating.

Tremor comes standard with a 3.73 electronic-locking rear axle, while Raptor uses a 4.10 rear axle.

Fleet and Work-Related Features

The 2026 order guide identifies several factory fleet-only options on XL and XLT configurations, including amber or amber/white LED warning beacons, a backup alarm, non-controllable daytime running lamps, skid plates, all-terrain tires, and, on XLT, black vinyl flooring.

XL also offers a fleet-only PowerBoost equipment group that combines the 3.5L PowerBoost Full Hybrid V-6 with its hybrid 10-speed transmission and 2.4-kW Pro Power Onboard.

Mobile Office Package

Ford’s Mobile Office Package is available on several work-oriented trims and standard on some higher equipment groups. Depending on configuration, it can include a console work surface, Pro Power Onboard outlets, bucket seats, and lockable rear storage.

Ford also offers an Interior Work Surface and additional in-cab storage configurations, giving fleets that use the truck as a mobile workspace more factory-installed options rather than relying entirely on aftermarket equipment.

Bed Utility Package

The Bed Utility Package can include bed storage boxes, a tailgate work surface, pickup-box tie-down plates, LED box lighting, tailgate step, power tailgate, or Pro Access Tailgate depending on series and equipment group. It is optional on several XLT, Lariat, and Tremor configurations and standard on King Ranch, Platinum, and Raptor.

Pro Power Onboard

The 2026 F-150 offers several levels of exportable electrical power depending on powertrain and equipment.

• 400 watts is available or standard with several gasoline configurations and provides outlets in the cab and bed.
• 2.0 kW is available with the 3.5L EcoBoost on select King Ranch and Platinum configurations.
• 2.4 kW is included with the PowerBoost full-hybrid powertrain.
• 7.2 kW is available with PowerBoost and is standard with certain upper-level PowerBoost equipment groups.

For commercial users, that gives the F-150 a factory power source for tools, chargers, equipment, and other electrical loads without requiring a separate portable generator for some jobs.

Towing Technology

The 2026 F-150 combines its Tow/Haul Package with several available trailer-assistance systems.

The Tow/Haul Package includes the integrated trailer brake controller and electronic-locking rear axle appropriate to the selected engine. Ford’s higher technology packages can also add:

• Pro Trailer Backup Assist
• Pro Trailer Hitch Assist
• 360-degree camera
• Adaptive cruise control with lane centering
• Front parking sensors
• Trailer tow mirrors
• Individual trailer tire-pressure monitoring and customer-placed trailer camera support on select configurations

Ford says Pro Trailer Hitch Assist can control steering, acceleration, and braking while aligning the hitch with a conventional trailer, while Pro Trailer Backup Assist allows the driver to guide trailer direction using the trailer-control knob.

2026 Ford F-150 Technology Fit for Fleets

Even the work-oriented XL includes SYNC 4 with a 12-inch center display, wireless phone connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and a 5G modem.

For fleet orders, Ford Telematics and Data Services Prep uses the modem to support information including vehicle location, speed, idle time, fuel use, diagnostics, and maintenance alerts. Ford says the hardware can support Ford telematics services or authorized third-party providers.

The Ford Connectivity Package is available across the lineup, with features varying by trim. Ford also offers a seven-year one-time-purchase version, although the order guide specifically notes that this purchase option is not available for fleet orders.

BlueCruise is available on select XLT, Lariat, Tremor, King Ranch, and Platinum configurations. For 2026, Ford added the option to purchase BlueCruise access at vehicle order for a minimum of seven years rather than relying only on an ongoing subscription.

Ford Co-Pilot360 2.0 is standard even on XL and includes technologies such as automatic high beams, BLIS with Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane-Keeping System, Intersection Assist, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, rear parking sensors, rearview camera, and Reverse Brake Assist.

2026 Ford F-150 Pricing Ordering and Availability

Ford’s 2026 product update says the newly added King Ranch 600A equipment group lowers the model’s entry point to below $70,000. Ford also added a new Platinum 700A configuration and Tremor 402B equipment group to broaden the range of equipment and price points available within those models.

Pricing, incentives, fleet programs, and individual configuration pricing can change throughout the model year, so fleets should verify current pricing and order-bank information for the exact vehicle being ordered.
