The City of Paxton, Ill., was one of six communities for use by its Public Works Department. The vehicle is a 2009 Ford F-550 equipped with a 37-foot aerial lift and 130,000 miles logged, reports the Ford County Record.

The truck will be used to remove hundreds of invasive ash trees from around the city, as well as general maintenance around tan, such as replacing flags on lightpoles and hanging Christmas decorations.

Six communities in Illinois received donated bucket trucks, including the Cities of Eldorado and Williamsville and the Village of Bethalto. Representatives from Eldorado and Williamsville said the cities also planned to use their donated bucket trucks to put up holiday decorations. The trucks will also be used to repair security cameras and complete general maintenance around the community.
