Ameren Illinois has donated a bucket truck to the nearby Village of Bethalto, Ill. The 2009 Ford F-550 Super Duty fitted with a 37-foot aerial bucket reached the end of its life cycle within the utility fleet.

According to the Alton Daily News, the village will use the bucket truck for tree trimming, light pole maintenance, and general maintenance around the community. Donation is not a new concept to Ameren Illinois, which operates a fleet of 3,300 vehicles including trucks, trailers, and equipment – last year, the utility donated six vehicles to entities in central and southern Illinois.
