Ameren Illinois donated a bucket truck from its fleet to the Village of South Pekin, Ill. The 2006 Ford F-550 bucket truck is valued at $7,800, and will be the village’s only aerial truck, reports the Peoria Journal Star.

Although the vehicle was part of the utility’s service fleet, in South Pekin it will be used for a variety of tasks around the village, such as trimming trees, changing light bulbs, and hanging flags.
