OTC added four new fuel injector and fuel pump tools to its product line-up in North America. The new tools help technicians complete fuel system jobs faster and are compatible with a wide variety of vehicles.

The new fuel injector and pump tools include:

  • 6706 Injector Rail Assembly Remover: The new injector rail assembly remover is used for the removal of the direct injection fuel rail without damage. The rail assembly must be removed as straight as possible to prevent damaging an injector bore in the cylinder head or the mount assembly and is similar to essential tool EN-49248. The injector rail assembly remover works on 2007-2014 General Motors direct injection engines including those used in Pontiac, Saturn, Cadillac, and Chevrolet vehicles.
  • 6707 Injector Seal Installer Adapters: The new seal installer adapter is a two-piece kit designed to properly size the seal and install the seals in the proper groove on the injector tip for leak free-operation and is similar to essential tool EN-51105. The injector seal installer adapter works on 2014-2015 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra V-6 and V-8 engines, 2015 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe, GMC Yukon and XL, Cadillac Escalade, and 2014 Chevrolet Corvette.
  • 6708 Injector Retaining Clip Replacer: The new injector retaining clip replacer is designed to remove and install the injector retaining clips without over-spreading to ensure proper retention of the injector to the rail and is similar to essential tool EN-51097. The injector retaining clip replacer works on 2014-2015 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra V-6 and V-8 engines, 2015 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe, GMC Yukon and XL, Cadillac Escalade, and 2014 Chevrolet Corvette V-8 engines.
  • 6710 Fuel Pump Installation Gauge: The new fuel pump installation gauge verifies that the camshaft fuel pump lobe is at base circle position before installing the high-pressure fuel pump. The new tool also indicates the pump may be installed when it is flush to manifold surface.  and is similar to EN-51092. The fuel pump installation gauge works on 2014-2015 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra V-6 and V-8 engines, 2015 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe, GMC Yukon and XL, Cadillac Escalade, and 2014 Chevrolet Corvette  V-8 engines.
