The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has certified Blossman Services' propane-autogas-powered Ford Transit van, the vehicle modifier announced.
Blossman equips the Transit with a Prins bi-fuel VSI 2 system that's paired with Ford's 3.7-liter V-6 engine.
The bi-fuel system conversion requires no intake manifold drilling, cutting, or splicing of wiring. It's designed to cut installation time in half and ensure consistent performance, according to Alliance AutoGas, which is managed by Blossman Gas, Inc.
Alliance AutoGas estimates fuel cost savings using the bi-fuel system at 35 percent or more.
The OEM quality and engineering on the Transit conversion is backed by a 5-year, 100,000 mile warranty, according to the company. New conversions additionally come with quick connect refueling valves (allowing for ultra-low emissions nozzles such as the Staubli GPV-14 to be utilized), and multiple tank options are available to meet various range requirements.
