Ford Super Duty Gets Major Updates for 2025 Model Year

The Ford F-Series Super Duty, America's top choice for heavy-duty trucks in terms of driver satisfaction and dependability, is receiving a host of updates for the 2025 model year. Order banks are now open, offering bold new styling options, advanced technology features, and proven capability across all trims. These updates follow the Super Duty being named the 2024 North America Truck of the Year.

"For 2025 Super Duty, we’re adding striking new design options, simplified trailering packages, and convenient hardware and software for upfitters, all while maintaining best-in-class maximum available horsepower, torque, towing, and payload. It’s a win-win for our customers," said Brian Rathsburg, Super Duty marketing manager, Ford Pro.

What’s New for the 2025 Super Duty:

The 2025 Super Duty introduces advanced technology designed to enhance convenience, productivity, and towing capabilities:

  • New Trailer Technology Bundles: Options now include auxiliary cameras, Individual Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and BLIS with trailer coverage for improved towing visibility.

  • Ford Pro Vehicle Integration System 2.0: This system simplifies upfitting, making it easy to access vehicle signals, create custom safety interlocks, and integrate controls into the center display or overhead switches. Optional on the 2025 Super Duty and standard on the Chassis Cab.

  • Additional Technology Features: Ford Co-Pilot360, 360-Degree Cameras, customizable Digital Information Cluster, Head-Up Display, and SYNC 4 enhance situational and information awareness.

Bold New Styling Options

For 2025, the Super Duty offers new appearance packages and interior upgrades:

  • Platinum Plus Package: This premium package includes a satin finish grille, Smoked Truffle interior, Venetian leather seating, and Max Recline Seats. The Platinum Plus experience offers owners personalized gifts, an upgrade to Blue Tier status in the FordPass Rewards program, personal vehicle tours, expert texting, and a discount on Ford accessories.

  • Lariat Trim: Featuring ActiveX seating, designed to fit the active lifestyle of Super Duty customers.

  • New Colors: Avalanche and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat are now available for 2025.

Ford Pro Vehicle Integration System 2.0 simplifies vehicle conversions by integrating upfit instrumentation into the digital systems of Super Duty.

Outstanding Power and Performance

The 2025 Super Duty delivers top-tier powertrain options:

  • Best-in-class maximum available 500 horsepower and 1,200 lb.-ft. of torque.

  • Best-in-class maximum available 430 gas horsepower and 485 lb.-ft. of gas torque.

  • Best-in-class maximum available payload of 8,000 lbs.

  • Best-in-class maximum available towing of 40,000 lbs.

The 6.8L V-8 gas engine is now standard on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims, while the 7.3L V-8 gas engine is standard on King Ranch and Platinum trims. The 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine remains available across all trims. All engines come with the heavy-duty 10-speed TorqShift automatic transmission.

Maximizing Productivity with Ford Pro

The 2025 Super Duty comes equipped with Ford Pro software solutions to enhance fleet management:

  • Ford Pro Telematics: Provides real-time vehicle data and insights, helping fleet managers optimize vehicle performance, reduce downtime, and lower operating costs.

  • Fleet Start Inhibit: Fleet managers can remotely disable vehicle starts using embedded technology, offering an added layer of security.

  • Vehicle Security App: This app allows fleet managers to trigger vehicle alarms and receive security alerts.

Assembled with pride at Ford's Kentucky Truck Plant and Ohio Assembly Plant, the Super Duty continues Ford’s legacy as America’s best-selling truck for 47 consecutive years.
