CC Steel, a municipal utility contractor based in Fargo, North Dakota, has completed a year's worth of work in just six months with the help of its three Vactor units, one of which is a brand-new unit.

The company recently added a brand new Vactor Recycler unit, which has been uniquely customized to fit in with the rest of the company's sleek black fleet. The Vactor Recycler features a black gloss finish with a matte black American flag in the background, which is intended to brand the company's products and help it stand out in the market.

Mike Cebulla, president of CC Steel, said that the black color scheme is an anomaly in the industry because it's hard to clean, but the team wears it with a sense of pride and thinks it helps with employee retention.

“We call it the dark side,” Cebulla said, of the customizations to their third Vactor unit. “My favorite color is black, and our fleet is black. Everything is black, which is an anomaly in this industry because it’s hard to clean.”

The company has experienced explosive growth and doubled revenue in the past year, which Cebulla attributes in part to the professionalism of the fleet.

CC Steel has found success in its reliability and trust in the Vactor dealer network.

Chris Haugrud, Owner and President of Sanitation Products Inc., said that the network is integral to customers' success. CC Steel is a small minnow in the market, but they are treated like a big client, which gives them peace of mind.

The Vactor Recycler is built on a Freightliner chassis from Daimler Truck North America, which was specifically designed and built to withstand even the toughest of jobs and remain reliable. David Carson, Senior Vice President of Daimler Truck North America, said that the Vactor Recycler is a great example of innovation and quality that can be delivered when teams work together.

CC Steel plans to continue working in other areas such as Kansas and is glad to have Vactor as its choice of equipment. The company's success is a matter of working together with Vactor, Sanitation Products Inc., and Daimler Truck North America to all go forward in the same direction.
