A 2014 AAA study revealed that 46.1% of drivers admitted to exceeding the speed limit by 15 mph on a freeway in the past month. But is the time saved worth the risk? AAA calculated that speeding might only save a few minutes on average trips. To stay safe, drivers should regularly check their speed, minimize distractions, and plan ahead to avoid rushing.
