AMP Research, a provider of bed steps, bed extenders, and automatic power articulating side steps, has announced the release of its Powerstep running boards for the 2014-2017 Ford Transit Van.
A replacement for the Ford Econoline series, the flexible, functional and efficient Transit Van line is offered in a variety of configurations to best fit in the multi-vehicle fleet market. With the AMP Research Powerstep, drivers and passengers of these heavily commuted, multi-use vehicles will more comfortably and safely enter and exit the vehicle throughout their day.
Each Powerstep is an automatic, electronic device that instantly extends when the door opens, then retracts safely out of sight when the doors close, improving ground clearance, aerodynamics and appearance. Precision-engineered to assist the driver and passengers in safely and more comfortably entering and exiting the vehicle, Powerstep is available as a single 79” step that stretches from the front door to the rear door for the passenger side of the van (PN 76159-01A), or as a set of two 79” steps, one for each side of the van (PN 76259-01A). Given the durability needs of a commercial vehicle, each step is equipped with dual motors.
