DICA, a leading manufacturer of engineered products that protect people, equipment, and worksites, has launched its new solid-core composite wheel chocks. This next-generation design expands the company’s industry-trusted lineup of engineered outrigger pads, crane pads, cribbing, and ground protection systems.
The new 100% recycled composite wheel chocks extend DICA’s engineered equipment setup solutions and are being showcased next week in the company’s booth at CONEXPO 2026.
Preventing Unintended Vehicle Movement
Unintended vehicle movement is a major contributor to workplace injuries and equipment damage, according to DICA. When properly designed and deployed, wheel chocks are among the most effective controls for preventing rollaway incidents during parking, loading, unloading, and maintenance operations.
DICA’s engineered wheel chocks eliminate common failure points found in hollow, brittle, low-quality, or improvised alternatives. Built from solid-core composite material and backed by a lifetime guarantee, these chocks are guaranteed to never crush, split, rot, or delaminate.
Engineered to Last, Guaranteed for Life
Designed for industrial and military-grade durability, DICA wheel chocks reflect the company’s long-standing commitment to safety, reliability, and long-term equipment performance.
“The last wheel chock you’ll ever need, that’s our goal,” said Kris Koberg, CEO of DICA. “Our wheel chocks feature a solid-core composite construction that prevents compression under load and eliminates internal voids that can lead to cracking or collapse.”
Made of 100% recycled composite material, the wheel chocks are resistant to damage from oils, fuels, hydraulic fluids, and industrial solvents. They maintain performance in temperatures from -40°F to 140°F making them ideal for year-round use in extreme climates.
Available in 8-inch (WC-1000) and 12-inch (WC-1001) lengths, the chocks are designed for equipment with tire heights from 32 inches to 48 inches. Common applications include heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, utility and service vehicles, trailers, and fleet maintenance operations.
First Layer of Jobsite Protection
Wheel chocks play an essential role in establishing stable, secure vehicle setups. Best practices call for setting brakes and deploying chocks, ideally on both sides of the tire, when vehicles are parked, staged, serviced, or positioned on grades or uneven terrain.
Purpose-built chocks are designed to properly engage the tire and resist sliding under load, unlike improvised materials such as scrap lumber, concrete blocks, or stones, which can crack, shift, or degrade over time.
“Just like with outrigger pads and crane pads, we believe the fundamentals matter,” said Koberg. “Wheel chocks may be the smallest tools on a truck or trailer, but their role in preventing injuries is significant. If you’re serious about stable setups and controlled environments, using engineered wheel chocks are a natural extension of that mindset.”
DICA’s wheel chocks are in stock and shipping from the company’s headquarters in Urbandale, Iowa. The full lineup is on display alongside DICA’s industry-recognized outrigger pads, crane pads, leveling solutions, and cribbing systems at CONEXPO.
The company’s portfolio includes outrigger pads, crane pads, cribbing and blocking systems, ground protection and access mats, wheel chocks, and other engineered solutions designed to reduce risk and improve jobsite performance.
