Illinois Lock Company, a manufacturer of installed locks for a wide range of applications, has introduced two new locks for use in truck caps. These locks are designed to enable cap builders to match the progressive styles of today’s caps while simultaneously adding Illinois Lock security.

The DC4060 is a robust, stylish center mount handle lock with superior automotive-quality finish intended for installation on a large truck cap rear window, replacing the usual two locks with a single center lock. The lock features a sliding cover that both protects the lock from the elements and provides a prominent surface for the application of a custom logo label for brand identification.

The DC4060 lock features a reversible key with plastic overmold grip that can be molded with the cap manufacturer’s logo for a minimal one-time tool charge.

The DC4050 is a smaller lock with matching styling designed for truck cap side windows. It can be keyed to the same codes as the DC4060, enabling one key to open all of the cap locks.

Truck caps have become much more stylish in design in recent years, while many locks have kept essentially the same style since the 1970s. These stylish new Illinois Lock products will allow cap manufacturers to complete the sleek look of their designs.
