Up to 600-pounds lighter than other medium-bore engines in the 10.0L-13.0L category, the Cummins X12 engine is made to increase payload and productivity. Paired with the 114SD, the combination is ideal for applications where weight savings are a priority, such as concrete mixers, dump trucks, cranes, and more. A second X12 powered 114SD will be showcased at World of Concrete in the McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing booth.

The X12 engine weighs only 2,050 pounds and boasts up to 500 horsepower and 1,700 lbs.-ft. of torque.

In addition, visitors to the Freightliner booth will gain access to a variety of bodied-up trucks on display, including 114SD concrete pumpers, cement mixers, volumetric cement mixers and more. The Detroit DD8 and DD13 engines will also be on display at the booth.

Western Star 4700, 4800, 4900, and 4900XD truck models will also be on display, each showcasing different vocational applications, such as crane, mixer, dumps, and more.

Western Star will also host its ninth annual “Western Star Trucks Get Tough Challenge” in the show’s Bronze Lot. Show attendees can sign up to drive their choice of Western Star 4700 trucks on a short course while being scored on a 50-point scale. One grand prize will be awarded to the overall top contestant, with daily winners receiving prizes. All entrants will receive Western Star swag. To compete, contestants must have a current CDL and can register at the Bronze Lot.

Peterbilt will display a Model 567 twin steer mixer, a Model 567 mixer, and a Model 520 concrete pump truck.

“Peterbilt is the most sought after brand in the concrete industry and finished 2018 with a record vocational market share in part because of the strong demand for concrete products,” said Tony Sablar, Peterbilt’s Vocational Marketing Manager. “Customers visiting the show will be able to experience first-hand the innovations in uptime, safety and connectivity that Peterbilt has introduced in its vehicles. The Model 567 has a leading reputation as one of the most rugged, reliable and technologically advanced vehicles in its class. The Model 520 is a versatile workhorse that has evolved into one of the preferred vehicles in the vocational segment. We are proud to display both vehicles at World of Concrete.”
