The following are the "most read" news in 2021*:

  1. Understanding California CARB Compliance Regulations: Paula Ventura of Monarch Truck Center in San Jose, California, released a video to help truck buyers better understand California CARB compliance regulations.

  2. History of the First Truck: 1896: The first truck in the world looked like a cart with an engine and without a drawbar. The engine, called "Phoenix", was a four-horsepower-strong two-cylinder engine located at the rear.

  3. Work Truck Names 'Top 5 Trucks in Medium-Duty': Work Truck launched the Top 5 truck listing based on fleet manager votes in our annual award. 

  4. Ford to Offer Hands-Free Driving on 2021 F-150: Ford will begin offering its new BlueCruise hands-free highway driving system, an SAE Level 2 driver-assist technology, to customers later in 2021.

  5. Isuzu Updates F-Series for 2022, Adds Class 7 Model: The Cummins B6.7 diesel engine will now be featured in the new 2022 Isuzu F-Series trucks for the U.S. and Canadian markets.

  6. Atlis Shows Progress on XT Prototype: Atlis Motor Vehicles provided an update on its XT prototype, including the taillights, bed lights, and power stations.

  7. New Ram ProMaster Adds Safety & Connectivity: The updated vehicle is a commercial Class 2 full-size van designed for businesses, construction jobsites, and commercial fleets.

  8. The New 2020i: N-Series 6.6L Gas Truck: Isuzu Commercial Truck of America, Inc. revealed two new gasoline engines for its N-Series truck: A 6.6L V-8 available in the Class 3 NPR and Class 4 NPR-HD, and a 6.0L V-8 offered in both the Class 5 17,950-pound GVWR NQR and the Class 5 19,500-pound GVWR NRR.

  9. Largest Truck Order in SEA History: Global transport company SEA Electric took a big step forward in the U.S., with confirmation of an order for more than 1,000 SEA Hino M5 EVs, the single largest order in the company’s history. 

  10. Ford Maverick Modifies for Vocational Fleet Needs: Starting with an MSRP of $19,995, it’s smaller than the Ranger and focused on those who may not have realized they needed a truck.
