A group of thieves in Georgia has hit bucket trucks belonging to multiple utility companies in the state. This stolen equipment may prevent the utilities from responding as quickly as possible in the event of an emergency.

Last week, a man was caught on camera pulling chainsaws off of bucket trucks. The trucks were parked in a private lot at Diverse Power’s main office in Lagrange, Ga., reports Fox 5 Atlanta. The thief entered the lot with a mask and a heavy-duty bolt cutter and went from truck to truck, removing 23 chainsaws from vehicles.

The next day, Cowetta-Fayette EMS in Palmetto, Ga., told Fox 5 Atlanta that the company caught two men on camera raiding its bucket trucks. Surveillance footage shows than both men entered through a hole in a fence, and one climbed a bucket truck while another rooted through storage compartments. The pair stole copper wire and chainsaws, which has led investigators to believe the break-ins may be related.
