Summit Truck Group Becomes Master Distributor of Purkeys Electrical Solutions
Summit Truck Group has announced they are now a Master Distributor of Purkeys electrical products in all 28 of the markets in which Summit Truck Group currently operates.
Summit Truck Group has announced they are now a Master Distributor of Purkeys electrical products in all 28 of the markets in which Summit Truck Group currently operates. Purkeys offers a comprehensive line of unique, patented, and customizable electrical products used by leading commercial truck carriers. The Summit-Purkeys agreement went into effect on January 1, 2017, and Summit has already stocked appropriate levels of all Purkeys products in Summit’s 32 locations and 2 parts warehouses.
“We are proud to become a Master Distributor for Purkeys,” said Duke Fancher, vice president of service for Summit. “The areas in which Purkeys wants to focus line up with Summit’s footprint across the 8 states in which we are located. Purkeys is involved with the Arkansas Trucking Association, the American Trucking Association, and many major customers of Summit, making this a great strategic partnership.”
George Standridge, vice president of parts for Summit, added, “Purkeys has already sent business our way and our locations are eager to begin selling Purkeys' high-quality products.” Standridge also noted, “Because Purkeys designs, builds, and then patents many of their products, few competitors have access to similar products, and Summit has the most expansive multi-state representation.”
For Summit customers, Purkeys provides dependable, high-quality electrical products — ranging from power inverters and harnesses to solar chargers, safety lighting, and liftgate and pallet jack chargers. This helps increase uptime for fleets by maximizing the effective-ness of their auxiliary equipment. The addition of this new product line from Purkeys to Summit’s robust portfolio of quality all-makes parts (over $30 million in parts stocked across Summit’s network), ensures that Summit’s customers continue to receive the highest levels of customer service and uptime in the industry.
“Purkeys and Summit Truck Group have always had a close relationship helping shared customers,” said Larry Rambeaux, Purkeys’ National Fleet Manager, “so as we looked for partners in our effort to have our products on shelves across the U.S., it was obvious we wanted them to be one of our premier master stocking distributors.”
