Southern California Gas Co. reached a $46 million settlement with a motorcyclist who was hit by a fleet truck and dragged for several hundred feet.
The incident took place in February 2017 in Hawthorne, a Los Angeles suburb. The employee driving the SoCalGas truck suffered a seizure before and during striking a man on the motorcycle, reports NBC Los Angeles. The driver stopped, then dragged the victim more than 400 feet while attempting to flee the scene.
