READING, PA - Penske Truck Leasing announced the opening of its new 21,400-square-foot state-of-the-art facility in Jessup, Md., located at 8685 Washington Blvd. Penske offers commercial and consumer truck rental services, full-service truck leasing and contract maintenance.
The one-story structure features five service bays, an automated truck washing bay and a three-lane fuel island with high-speed fuel pumps for fast, efficient service. The 10-acre location employs 45 associates and maintains over 1,000 vehicles on-site, while servicing nearly 120 customers.
A wireless technology component allows Penske service technicians to integrate various vehicle diagnostic and repair software. To save energy, GE fluorescent light bulbs with electronic ballasts using 50 percent less energy have been installed.
Penske previously operated an older facility in Annapolis Junction, at 8820 Corridor Road.
"Penske Truck Leasing simply outgrew its Annapolis Junction location, and the time had come to relocate to a larger, modern facility," said Jack Gallagher, Senior Vice President - Northeast Region, Penske Truck Leasing. "Our new Jessup location is within close proximity of both I-95 and I-295 near the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. This prime locale serves a number of customers housed at nearby industrial parks."
