Looking Back: Morgan Olson's New Step Van Plant Now Operational
New Side Load Step Van from Morgan Olson
In addition to the many powertrain options, this medium-duty step van is available in Class 4-7 configurations with Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) ranging from 14,001 lbs. to 30,000 lbs.

To reduce overall weight and enhance durability, the design engineers at Morgan Olson also incorporated all-aluminum, heavy-duty roll-up doors to complement the all-aluminum, corrosion-resistant body.
Morgan Olson announced the expansion of its step van's capabilities. This latest step van configuration allows loading and unloading from both sides while accommodating pallet-sized loads accessible at lower working heights.
While initially requested by the beverage industry, this configuration also supports propane cylinder delivery, battery delivery, and other vocations.
"We are enthusiastic about the new business opportunities this side load step van body will bring to the market," said Joe Rudolph, vice president of sales and marketing at Morgan Olson. "Our bodies have a proven track record of providing long-life, low cost of ownership, and we're focused on driving future innovations in last-mile delivery. This side load step van is just the first of many new offerings planned for 2025 – it's an exciting time here at Morgan Olson."
About the Side Load Step Van
Available in gas, diesel, natural gas (CNG), propane (LPG), and all-electric chassis, Morgan Olson noted the new configuration provides an intuitive driver experience without compromising current delivery and routing considerations.
Additionally, high-visibility step-rails have been included to ensure the safety of delivery drivers accessing and operating within cargo management areas, according the Morgan Olson.
Each cargo bay is customizable to the fleet's needs to avoid disrupting loading, securing, and unloading methods and strategies.
