Across the U.S. and Canada, utility fleet managers are relying more and more on heavy-duty vehicle lifts to increase safety in the shop and improve uptime on the road, according to a marketing analysis from lift manufacturer Stertil-Koni.
Utility vehicles need quick turnaround times and maintenance technicians must maximize uptime so that trucks are prepared for emergencies and calls from the public. According to the report, many trucks are heavier than past models because newer models often have fewer axles, increasing the weight placed on one axle as opposed to two. Additional benefits of vehicle lifts include safer conditions in the shop and environmentally conscious mandates.
