Cox Enterprises, Inc. recently named Mark Leuenberger as the company's fleet director, effective immediately.

In this role, Leuenberger will oversee the companywide fleet, consisting of more than 15,000 vehicles, and will serve as chief negotiator for all fleet-related vendor contracts and services. He will report to Mike Mannheimer, vice president, supply chain services and chief procurement officer.

"Mark brings solid technological and management experience to this role, both of which are vital to the department's success," said Mannheimer. "As someone who has been affiliated with the company for over 10 years, Mark understands Cox's culture, goals and commitment to environmental initiatives."

As Cox Enterprises' fleet director, Leuenberger will play a key role in Cox Conserves, the company's national sustainability program designed to reduce the company's carbon footprint.

Previously, Leuenberger served as director of field service technology for Cox Communications, the company's broadband telecommunications and entertainment subsidiary, where he was responsible for work force automation, fleet technologies and technician efficiency tools. He also managed vendor and interdepartmental relationships while deploying mobile resource management (MRM) solutions to the fleet.

He received his bachelor's degree in telecommunications from Pennsylvania State University.
