There’s no shortage of fleet data. What’s harder to come by is the time to actually use it.

Linxup is leaning into that reality with the launch of a new AI-powered chatbot designed to help fleet managers get faster answers and move more quickly from insight to action, without digging through reports or dashboards.

Built into the Linxup platform, the tool allows users to ask questions in their own words and receive immediate, data-backed responses pulled directly from their fleet operations.

From Questions To Immediate Answers

Instead of running reports, fleet managers can ask specific, day-to-day questions, such as which drivers started late last week or what a reduction in idle time could mean for fuel costs. The system analyzes fleet data and returns answers instantly, removing several steps from the typical workflow.

The chatbot also supports more complex, scenario-based questions, helping managers understand the potential financial impact of operational changes without having to manually calculate or model outcomes.

In a Linxup blog post, Maria Coleman, senior content marketing manager at Linxup, noted that while most fleets already have access to this data, the challenge is finding the time to pull it and interpret its meaning. Coleman added that the goal is to make that information accessible at the same pace as fleet managers are making decisions.

Moving Beyond Insights To Action

Where Linxup is trying to differentiate is in what happens after an issue is identified.

When the system flags something like excessive idling or declining safety scores, it doesn’t stop at surfacing the data. It builds out a recommended path forward, including projected savings, a budget based on those savings, driver incentives, and a communication plan to support implementation.

“Most tools tell you what’s wrong — ours tells you what to do next,” said Naeem Bari, co-founder and chief product officer at Linxup, who noted the chatbot is designed to guide users through solutions, not just highlight problems.

Early user feedback points to time savings as a key benefit. Scott McCloud of Accurate Towing said, "The Linxup chatbot has been a game-changer for our business. It's incredibly easy to use, and we're now getting valuable feedback on our drivers' habits without ever having to pull a single report. The time we've saved by having instant access to the data we need has drastically changed how we manage our fleet."

The launch reflects a broader shift in fleet technology, where the focus is moving beyond collecting data to helping fleets interpret it and act on it more quickly.

Built To Work Alongside Existing Tools

Linxup positions the AI chatbot as a complement to existing reports, not a replacement. The idea is to help fleet managers get to answers faster while still relying on their current dashboards for deeper analysis.

Data is updated daily, with live tracking and video still handled through the platform’s existing tools. The company also notes the chatbot pulls directly from a fleet’s own data, though it recommends verifying insights before making high-impact decisions.

On the privacy side, Linxup said customer data remains isolated to each account and is not shared across users or used to train external AI models.

The chatbot is currently rolling out to customers.
