In a remarkable year for the work truck industry, leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) have unveiled their full sales reports for 2023, showcasing impressive growth and dominance in the market.
Isuzu Commercial Truck Shatters Sales Records
Isuzu Commercial Truck of America achieved several noteworthy sales milestones in 2023. This performance has established the preceding year as a new pinnacle for both wholesale and retail sales of Isuzu trucks.
Notably, Isuzu attained high records in the number of vehicles supplied to Isuzu dealers. These dealers, in turn, not only delivered more Isuzu trucks but also outperformed previous years in selling Isuzu parts.
This accomplishment marks a milestone in the 40-year history of Isuzu trucks in the United States, setting records for both Isuzu trucks and parts sales.
“Despite some continued supply-chain issues in the first half, 2023 turned out to be a banner year for sales of Isuzu trucks,” said Shaun C. Skinner, president, Isuzu Commercial Truck of America and Isuzu Commercial Truck of Canada. “The reasons are simple: the loyalty of our customers, the commitment of our dealer body, the diligence of our field team, and a product line that is in sync with the marketplace.”
Skinner continued, “We expect that 2024 will see our momentum grow. In the next twelve months we will be introducing a thoroughly redesigned cab, sophisticated new driver-assist technology, and our first electric truck, the NRR EV. Despite regulatory concerns and the usual uncertainty of an election year, we feel we are well positioned to make 2024 another record-breaking year for Isuzu.”
GM Delivers 2.6 Million Vehicles
General Motors and its dedicated dealers reported an increase in sales, delivering 2.6 million vehicles in the U.S. in 2023, marking a 14% year-over-year growth.
GM emerged as an industry leader, claiming the top spot as the manufacturer with the highest total sales. Additionally, GM dominated the truck, full-size pickup, full-size SUV, affordable SUV, and fleet vehicle segments.
