Insurance Fleet Adopts the PHH GreenFleet Program
After rolling out PHH GreenFleet to its entire fleet, the organization expects to improve fuel economy by over 20 percent.
The Co-operators Group Ltd., a Canadian-owned, multi-product insurance company, recently announced that it is employing the PHH GreenFleet program. Developed by PHH Arval and Environmental Defense, this program guides organizations through choosing more efficient vehicles, upgrading vehicle maintenance programs and providing additional training to drivers. After rolling out PHH GreenFleet to its entire fleet, the organization expects to improve fuel economy by over 20 percent without increasing fleet costs. All new fleet vehicles acquired by the group of companies in the Co-operators will now meet new fuel economy requirements to help achieve their goal of significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Every driver will also have the option of selecting a hybrid vehicle.
