Tata Motors has launched the all-new Aria featuring a new 2.2L VARICOR engine, with a powerful output of 150PS and a high low-end torque of 320Nm for better pick-up and quick response, returning a fuel efficiency of 15.05km/liter (ARAI certified). The new engine with variable-geometry turbocharger (VGT) is electronically controlled with a lower-end flat torque, which kicks in from as low as 1,500 rpm, for a more precise response from the engine, improving in-city driving capabilities, according to the automaker.
The all-new Aria is fitted with a new timing belt, with improved durability to 200,000 kms. A new replaceable cartridge-type pre-filter, provides for improved filtering for enhanced robustness of fuel injection system, thereby reducing cost of maintenance, according to Tata. The new VARICOR engine comes with a 3-year/150,000 km warranty.

Available in 3 variants, the all-new Aria is available in three trim level – PURE LX, PLEASURE, and PRIDE 4×4, and starts at a price of Rs 9.95lakhs. The all-new Aria also comes with a 3-year/100,000 km warranty.
The Aria boasts best-in-class safety features, making it one of the safest cars on Indian roads, according to the automaker.
The Aria’s frame is constructed with advanced hydroformed members, enhancing rigidity while reducing weight. Further, the body shell has crumple zones and the doors have side impact bars making it an extremely safe vehicle. Six airbags (driver, co-passenger, side and curtain airbags) give 360 degrees protection to all occupants.
The Tata Aria is equipped with disc brakes on all four wheels, resulting in superior braking effectiveness and better control. Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Breakforce Distribution (EBD) aids steer-ability and control in emergency braking situations and on slippery surfaces.
To aid safety, the Aria’s ESP (Electronic Stability Program) senses any mismatch between a driver’s intended direction and the actual direction of the car, automatically intervening to apply braking force to the appropriate wheel, thereby stabilizing the vehicle. Along with ESP, the Aria’s Traction Control (TCS) maintains stability under situations of sudden acceleration.

The 4×4 Adapterra torque-on-demand system of the Aria senses the various terrain conditions, automatically supplying torque in varying proportions between the front and rear axles, aiding off-road driving, as well as stability on normal roads.
The Aria also comes with Perimetric Alarm System for added security.
