GMC has officially launched the 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1, available now at dealerships nationwide. According to the manufacturer, this all-electric pickup truck combines the power and performance of a traditional truck with cutting-edge electric vehicle technology, boasting an impressive GM-estimated 440 miles of range and a towing capacity of up to 10,000 pounds.

GMC’s global vice president, Duncan Aldred, describes the Sierra EV as “the Denali of EVs” and touts it as “the best truck ever made.” Developed with over 17.5 million virtual test miles and nearly a million real-world miles, the Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 brings state-of-the-art engineering to the electric truck market.

The Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 is packed with features that elevate both its performance and usability. Powered by a GM-estimated 754 horsepower and 785 lb.-ft. of torque in Max Power mode, it delivers 0-60 mph acceleration in under 4.5 seconds. The truck also offers 800-volt DC public fast charging capabilities of up to 350 kW, adding 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes. In addition, GMC’s Onboard Power Station Pro supplies up to 10.2 kW of off-board power, turning the electric pickup truck into a mobile power source for a variety of scenarios.

Inside, the Sierra EV Denali is equally impressive with luxury appointments for the electric work truck, including grain-matched open-pore wood, dark aluminum accents, and a wood veneer wireless induction charger. A bold, all-new design includes a panoramic fixed glass roof and 24-inch wheels, while a 16.8-inch freeform infotainment touchscreen — the largest ever in a Sierra — enhances the truck’s interior experience.

Notably, the electric work truck features trailering-capable Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology, expected to be available on 750,000 miles of U.S. and Canadian roads by 2025. GMC’s Air Ride Adaptive Suspension improves comfort while allowing the vehicle to raise or lower by up to two inches.

The pickup truck’s versatility is highlighted by the GMC-first MultiPro MidGate, which extends the bed for hauling items nearly 11 feet long while still providing space for a rear-seat passenger. The eTrunk adds to the vehicle's storage capacity with a lockable, weatherproof compartment at the front of the vehicle.

With its luxurious materials, updated technology, and impressive power, the 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 sets a new benchmark for electric trucks, combining the best of EV performance with the rugged capability expected from the Denali name.
