Gasoline Climbs to $3.47 Per Gallon
The national average price of gasoline climbed 3.5 cents to $3.479 per gallon, climbing higher for the fifth consecutive week, according to federal data.

The national average price of gasoline climbed 3.5 cents to $3.479 per gallon, climbing higher for the fifth consecutive week, according to federal data.
Gasoline remains lower than it was a year ago, but has seen a steady advance since Feb. 3, when it was $3.292 per gallon, according to data released Monday by the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The current price is 28 cents lower than a year ago.
Prices rose in all but one of the regions tracked. The Lower Atlantic region fell six-tenths of a cent. This week, 11 states remained above $3.50 per gallon, according to the AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report.
Meanwhile, the national average price of diesel fuel fell one-tenths of a cent to $4.017 per gallon. Diesel fuel is now 11.4 cents lower than it was a year ago.
