2010 Dodge Ram 3500 Chassis Cab
DETROIT - Dodge is reminding fleets the model-year for 2010 Dodge Ram 3500/4500/5500 Cab and Chassis models will be short, with an order cutoff date of Oct. 8th, due to the limited production window.
The plant manufacturing these trucks will only operate Oct.-Dec. before it closes for retooling. The plant will reopen again in March, when Dodge will begin production of 2011 models.
The 2011 Models will have a completely re-designed exterior, new suspension and other refinements. They will continue to offer popular features such as the Cummins 6.7L turbo diesel, Aisen transmission, upfit friendly flat rail frame construction, all of which have made the Dodge Ram Cab and Chassis the fastest growing entry in the segment over the past 3 years.
The company suggests that fleets planning to order any Dodge 3500/4500/5500 models do so soon to ensure orders are in its system by the cutoff deadline.
These 2010 models do not require Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). According to the manufacturer, fleets can beat any potential price increase as a result of the additional required system and ongoing expense of DEF by ordering 2010 models.
