Daniels Tire Service, a 14-location commercial, consumer and OTR tire dealership based in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., is celebrating its 75th year as a Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company customer.  The independent, family-owned dealership – which services customers throughout southern California – was founded in 1911 by family patriarch R.F. Daniels. In 1939, R.F. Daniels’ son, Arden, began selling Goodyear commercial and consumer tires.

“He decided that the time was right to take on the Goodyear brand, and it has been a win-win arrangement for our company and Goodyear ever since,” said Doug Daniels Jr., president of Daniels Tire Service. “Goodyear is a household name among our customers. They are loyal to us and loyal to the Goodyear brand.”

John Daniels, the dealership’s executive vice president, cites Goodyear’s premium products, services and consistency as reasons for this. “As a tire supplier, you have to be lined up with your products, services and how you go to market,” he said. “Our suppliers appreciate that consistency. Plus, Goodyear has always evolved to keep up with the changing nature of the tire business. We’ve dealt with other brands over the years, but our strongest relationship is with Goodyear.”

Today, Daniels Tire Service sells Goodyear, Dunlop and Kelly brand commercial and consumer tires, plus Goodyear OTR tires. It also retreads tires using Goodyear UniCircle Technology, and offers 24/7 emergency roadside service through the Goodyear-FleetHQ suite of business solutions. In addition, the company provides other commercial-related services, including scrap tire analysis, truck alignments, wheel refinishing and more.

“Several years ago, when Daniels Tire Service marked its 100th year in business, John Daniels said that his great-grandfather’s mission was to ‘sell only the best products and provide superior customer service,’” said Phillip Kane, vice president of Goodyear Commercial Tire Systems.

“Goodyear shares those same values. As an aligned Goodyear dealer, Daniels Tire Service is an excellent example of what can be achieved when we have the same vision, pursue the same strategy and work together for the benefit of our shared customer, the end user. We look forward to continuing our relationship with this great company.”
