Csaba Vincze has been named the new fleet director of Nissan Motor in the UK.
Vincze takes over the role recently vacated by Peter McDonald who left to become mobility director at automotive energy tech company Ohme.
With a company career that dates back to 2006, Vincze provides Nissan with extensive experience, having operated across Central and Eastern Europe in a variety of senior executive sales and product-led positions. Most recently he was head of the managing director’s office in the UK and a member of the central management committee.
“I am delighted to welcome Csaba Vincze to his new role at Nissan where he will continue to strengthen our position as a leading player in the transformation of UK vehicle fleets," says Andrew Humberstone, managing director at Nissan Motor GB. "With so many fantastic, electrified new products due to be launched in the coming months, including cars and commercial vehicles, we can be confident that Nissan will remain a trusted partner to businesses looking to reduce their fleet carbon footprint.”
Vincze added:
‘‘Managing the transition to electric vehicles can be a daunting process for corporate fleets, which is why Nissan’s 10 years of experience with EVs is so valuable. We can help businesses understand the benefits, advise on how they can fit into their organization, and deliver fantastic products and sales support.
“This leadership in electrification, together with our rapidly growing LCV offering, make Nissan a perfect partner for today’s fleet needs and I look forward to making even more progress with our many valued business clients in the months and years ahead.’’
Vincze will be assisted in his new fleet role by the all-new Qashqai which features Nissan’s e-POWER technology, which uses a battery to deliver power to the wheels, and a small petrol engine generator to keep the battery charged.
Besides the Qashqai, the new all-electric Ariya crossover is slated to arrive in the UK in 2022 with a range of some 300 miles to sit alongside the Leaf in the company’s EV lineup.
For commercial vehicle fleets there is also the new all-electric Townstar van with a range in excess of 170 miles in addition to the existing e-NV200 electric van.
