The Chrysler 300 full-size sedan gets a refresh for the 2015 model year includes a standard eight-speed transmission for all models, a reworked front end design, and new 300S sportier model, the automaker announced at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The 300's bolder, sportier look draws inspiration from the historic 1955 model to deliver a bolder front grille, signature LED headlights, and new wheel designs, according to the automaker.

Chrysler is touting the fuel-economy improvement for the V-6 model, which is expected to deliver 31 mpg highway. The higher-output Pentastar V-6 produces 300 hp and 264 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2015 300 also offers the carry-over 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 that produces 363 hp.

The new 300S model adds sportier features such as blacked-out accents, 20-inch Hyper Black wheels, and a deck-lid spoiler.

Despite the upgrades, Chrysler is holding the base 300 retail price at $31,395, the automaker said.
