Capacity Trucks, part of the Specialty Vehicles Segment of Terex Corporation, and a trusted terminal truck manufacturer, debuted a new interior cab design at the TMC Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition, North America’s premier technical conference for trucking.
LPG-Powered Terminal Truck
Capacity showcased its LPG-powered alternative-fuel terminal truck, built on proven, reliable technology. The company said it offers a more affordable entry point than electric products. In addition, county and state incentive programs may be available to help offset costs.
Powered by a spark-ignited, naturally aspirated engine with 265 horsepower and 553 ft.-lbs. of torque, Capacity Trucks said the truck delivers performance similar to that of diesel engines while helping reduce preventive maintenance and ownership costs.
Debut of New Cab Design
Capacity also debuted its new interior cab design, engineered to enhance both operator comfort and functionality.
Updates include a redesigned HVAC and temperature control system, improved ergonomics with easier access to controls, enhanced egress, and an increase in leg and belly room.
Integrated technologies, including Bendix Intellipark, D-Cams, and a smart dash gauge with diagnostics, further optimize operation.
Also on display was a newly redesigned dashboard featuring a digital instrument cluster with touchscreen control and display. The company said operators can easily navigate the system through clearly identifiable icons. The digital speedometer window also transforms into an alarm alert window when maintenance or service is required, providing proactive notifications that help minimize downtime.
“Capacity remains focused on advancing its products to deliver the durability and quality customers need to move cargo around the globe,” said Larry Daniels, vice president of global sales for the Specialty Vehicles Segment’s fire apparatus brands.
