In March 2020, the South Coast AQMD released solicitations for the 2020 Carl Moyer Program and Surplus Off-Road Opt-In for NOx (SOON) Program, with an application deadline of June 2. The application deadline for the two program announcements (#PA2020-03 and #PA2020-04) is now extended to August 4 at 1 p.m. PST.
These programs provide financial incentives to owners for the purchase of zero emission and low-emitting heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
Due to the current pandemic, the South Coast AQMD is extending the application deadline by 60 calendar days to allow owners additional time to complete and submit their applications, the program said in a statement.
In mid-July, staff will evaluate the number of applications submitted and will re-assess the need for any additional extensions.
The public workshops for the 2020 Carl Moyer and SOON Programs have been cancelled due to the current pandemic. However, the South Coast AQMD will post webcasts with presentations providing information on the eligible project categories, program requirements and other information that may be useful in preparing an application to the program.
South Coast AQMD staff are also available to provide any application support.
