BMW showed its new 328d Sedan, which is powered by the automaker’s 2.0L TwinPower diesel four-cylinder engine, at the New York International Auto Show. This engine will be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Preliminary fuel economy estimates from BMW are 32 mpg city, 45 highway, 37 mpg combined. BMW said its Advanced Diesel technology comes with Selective Catalyst Reduction, helping to make its 328d models clean diesels. BMW said the TwinPower engine is the first four-cylinder diesel model that the company is offering in the U.S.
