Heavy-duty vehicle lift manufacturer Stertil-Koni announced that the inground telescopic piston lift model, the DIAMONDLIFT, has been selected for use at the new American Airlines, Inc. maintenance facility, currently under construction at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago.
The DIAMONDLIFT, recognized for delivering optimum flexibility, productivity, durability and environmental containment in heavy duty vehicle lifting, has a lifting capacity of up to 35,000 lbs. per piston. It is certified by the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI), electronically synchronized and features a mechanical locking system utilizing a hardened, nitro carburized locking rod for superior protection and safety – all while delivering wheels-free lifting.
What’s more, the DIAMONDLIFT, widely deployed across the United States and Canada, now has an optional Continuous Recess system available. This technology, the first of its type in a piston-style lift in North America, allows the lifting unit to travel horizontally while fully retracted, making it easier and safer to lift virtually all heavy duty vehicles -- even those with low ground clearance.

Managing the installation process at O’Hare is Stertil-Koni’s exclusive distributor in the region, USALift, headed by its president, Peter Haralovich.
In making today’s announcement, Stertil-Koni President Dr. Jean DellAmore noted “The foundation of Stertil-Koni is product innovation – and the DIAMONDLIFT is an excellent example of the latest advances in heavy duty vehicle lifting performance and safety. We are extremely pleased to be of service to American Airlines.”
