Altec Celebrates 30 Years in Canada

Altec celebrates its 30th year of service in Canada and will honor the milestone by focusing on the importance of partnerships with Canadian customers and the unique product offerings it provides to the Canadian marketplace.

For many years, Altec Inc. has distinguished itself as a leader in providing equipment and services to utility, contractor, telecommunication and tree care markets. In 2014, Altec celebrates its 30th year of service in Canada and will honor the milestone by focusing on the importance of partnerships with Canadian customers and the unique product offerings it provides to the Canadian marketplace.

“It’s the relationship with our customers that drives our business,” says Jeff Benda, Regional Vice President at Altec Inc. “We’ve always believed that earning business is first about earning trust; that’s why we listen to our customer’s needs and work with them every day to provide the best quality solutions.”

Altec has dedicated sales, service, parts and rental teams in Canada committed to meeting customer needs. Some of these include:

  • Payload solutions. Based on seasonal road ban restrictions for the most complete and comprehensive product line of aerials, digger derricks, cranes and specialty products.

  • Truck Mounted Bodies. Altec engineered truck mounted bodies available in steel, aluminum and fiberglass.

  • Altec JEMS (Jobsite Energy Management System). Uses stored energy to operate the hydraulic equipment, cab comfort and electrical accessories. This system eliminates hours of idle-time, reduces fuel consumption and decreases greenhouse gas emissions while offering the crew a safer, quieter work environment.

  • High Articulation Material Handling. The development of a high articulation material handling jib for the electric utility demand.

Altec Canada provides nationwide support through a mobile service network. Combined with service centers located in Ontario, Manitoba and British Columbia, Altec offers a comprehensive, factory-direct service support.
