The 2024 Nissan Frontier is going on sale in fall of 2023 with a starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $29,770. The 2024 Frontier has also added an SL grade on Crew Cab models. It bundles several features – such as LED lighting, leather-appointed seating, a Fender 10-speaker audio system, and more – in a grade level in a highly equipped midsize truck.

The 2024 Nissan Frontier offers an array of bed lengths, drivetrain configurations and grades so that fleets can pick the model that suits their needs, including the PRO-X and PRO-4X for those heading off-road.

The Frontier King Cab is offered with a 6-foot bed, the Crew Cab S and PRO-X/PRO-4X models feature a 5-foot bed, and the Crew Cab SV is offered with either a 5-foot or a 6-foot bed.

'80s Hardbody Vibes

Frontier enters the new model year with a throwback touch in the shape of the Hardbody Edition, a nostalgic tribute to the original Nissan Hardbody pickup of the 1980s that’s sure to resonate with many generations. Available on Frontier SV Crew Cab 4x4, the Hardbody Edition features heritage-styled 17-inch wheels, retro-inspired decals, all-terrain tires, a sport bar, black exterior trim, and other design flair.

The limited-edition package has an MSRP of $3,890.

The Hardbody Edition starts with the Crew Cab SV 4x4. It features three-spoke, heritage-styled 17-inch alloy wheels, reminiscent of the original truck, fitted with all-terrain tires. The truck also boasts an aluminum skid plate, black over-fenders, a black side rail, mud flaps, and a bed-mounted sport bar, all contributing to its retro-rugged appearance.

In keeping with its '80s inspiration, the Hardbody Edition sports black-painted bumpers, mirrors, door handles, and grille. To complete the look, black graphics add a touch of nostalgia, with a prominent "4x4" logo on the front doors and a tailgate graphic featuring a cut-out "Nissan" logo, replacing the typical Nissan tailgate emblem.

"We took some of those design elements and modernized them. Even if you don't recognize or remember the original Hardbody, you're still going to say, 'That's a cool truck,'" said Hiren Patel, project lead designer, Nissan Design America, a division of Nissan North America, Inc.

The 2024 Nissan Frontier gets even "more rad" with the introduction of the retro yet modern Hardbody Edition.

The 2024 Nissan Frontier is built to meet commercial fleet demands with a 310-horsepower, 3.8L V-6 engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to its sturdy fully boxed ladder frame, this truck can tow up to 6,640 pounds.

For improved traction on various surfaces, the Frontier offers four-wheel drive. You can easily switch between 2WD, 4HI, and 4LO modes with the electronic shift-on-the-fly system. 4x4 models come with useful features like a steel front skid plate, front tow hooks, Hill Descent Control, and a 4-wheel limited-slip system for better grip on low-traction surfaces.

If you're looking for off-road capabilities, consider the PRO-X and PRO-4X grades. They come with Bilstein off-road shock absorbers, 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, an electronic locking rear differential, and extra underbody skid plates for protection. These models also sport unique visual elements like Lava Red accents, LED lights, bold decals, special floor mats, and distinctive stitching inside the cab.
