PALFINGER and LTTS Launch Strategic Partnership in India to Expand Global Engineering Capacity
PALFINGER, a global leader in innovative lifting solutions, and L&T Technology Services, a global leader in AI, digital, and ER&D consulting services, have partnered to establish a Global Development Center in Pune, India.

The inauguration was attended by Alexander Susanek, COO, PALFINGER; Andreas Hille, senior vice president, global product line management and R&D, PALFINGER; and Santhosh Rao, vice president, regional sales and service APAC, PALFINGER. From LTTS, attendees included Mritunjay Singh, COO; Dr. Oliver Moron, vice president, EU-DACH; Mohideen Farouk, sales director, EU-DACH; Jayant Joshi, delivery head, T&OH; Tejas B. Shah, delivery head, agriculture and material handling; and Sachin Nikam, delivery manager.

Together with its partner L&T Technology Services, PALFINGER has established a new Global Development Center (LTTS) in India. It is a move to drive innovation, scale up operations, and accelerate time-to-market for PALFINGER, not only for projects in India but also for global development efforts.
The partnership was officially inaugurated during a ceremony in Pune on Dec. 9, where the agreement was signed, laying the foundation for the long-term collaboration.
"By partnering with LTTS, we are significantly expanding our engineering capacity in a key market for future growth. This investment is a direct expression of Reach Higher, our Strategy 2030+, and strengthens our presence in strategically important regions like APAC, with India at the forefront,” said Alexander Susanek, COO at PALFINGER. “It’s a strong signal of our commitment to Lifetime Excellence through global integration and local empowerment.”
Alind Saxena, executive director and president, mobility and tech, L&T Technology Services, said the new GDC in Pune will serve as a strategic innovation hub bringing together AI-powered simulation and embedded engineering to help PALFINGER build future-ready solutions while achieving faster development and improved cost competitiveness.
GDC Leveraging Talent for Global Impact
Located about 150 kilometers southeast of Mumbai, PALFINGER said Pune is a recognized hub for the automotive, software, and mechanical engineering industries. Under the agreement, LTTS will establish and operate the GDC on behalf of PALFINGER, providing a dedicated team of engineers and experts who will support both local and global development initiatives.
Starting with around 20 experts, the team is meant to grow further along with specific initiatives.
PALFINGER said the investment gives its global engineering teams access to a wider talent pool, enhancing responsiveness and adaptability in an increasingly dynamic market environment. The team will grant access and fast response to the specific of the Indian market while keeping the consistency with PALFINGER processes.
PALFINGER said the team in Pune will be closely integrated into its global engineering network, especially with the Technology Center in Köstendorf, Austria.
Investing in India
India is a strategic growth market for PALFINGER. In addition to the newly established Global Development Center, the company is actively expanding its local partner network, optimizing the supply chain, and pursuing plans for setting up a local production facility.
This will enable PALFINGER to meet the growing demand for lifting solutions directly on-site and further strengthen its presence in the region.
