Extended Range without Charging Downtime
Unlike traditional BEVs, the Ramcharger eliminates range anxiety with a gas-powered 3.6L V-6 engine that serves as an on-board generator. The generator supplies power to the battery when needed, ensuring that fleets can operate without relying on public charging stations.
With 400-volt DC fast charging at up to 175 kW, the Ramcharger can add up to 5 miles of range per minute, allowing for quick turnarounds when plugged in.
The 2026 Ram 1500 Ramcharger includes vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-home bi-directional charging, allowing fleets to charge other Stellantis battery-electric vehicles or provide backup power.
