Ram Trucks has unveiled its 2025 Chassis Cab lineup, featuring the 3500, 4500, and 5500 models, which bring new levels of capability, upfitter-friendly design, and advanced technology to vocational and commercial fleets. 

With power take-off (PTO) capability, on-board power options, and improved safety features, the 2025 Ram Chassis Cab is designed to maximize uptime and productivity for fleet operators.

Powertrain Upgrades for Maximum Capability

The 2025 Ram Chassis Cab lineup offers two engine options designed to tackle demanding workloads:

  • 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel I-6: Produces 360 horsepower and 800 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is now available with left- and right-side PTO capability for enhanced versatility in upfitting.

  • 6.4L HEMI V-8: Delivers 375 horsepower and 429 lb.-ft. of torque, providing solid performance for a range of fleet applications​​​.

Both engines are paired with the TorqueFlite HD eight-speed automatic transmission, now featuring a new electronic column shifter to improve driver ergonomics and reduce cabin clutter. The transmission’s wide gear ratios optimize fuel efficiency and towing performance on graded roads​​.

With industry-standard cab-to-axle lengths and through-the-frame plumbing, the 2025 Ram Chassis Cab is built for easy upfits and maximum jobsite versatility.

Upfitter-Friendly Design for Maximum Versatility

Designed with upfitters in mind, the 2025 Ram Chassis Cab offers several enhancements to simplify customization for various vocational needs:

  • Industry-standard cab-to-axle lengths of 60, 84, 108, and 120 inches.

  • No components or lines above the rear frame rails for a clean upfitting experience.

  • Through-the-frame plumbing and electrical systems to accommodate different body types.

  • Power take-off (PTO) capability for both left- and right-side operation​​.

For additional versatility, the Chassis Cab models include an on-board power inverter offering up to 2.4 kilowatts, providing convenient power for jobsite tools and equipment​.

Advanced Safety and Connectivity Features

Ram’s 2025 Chassis Cab models come equipped with advanced safety and driver-assist features, helping fleet operators improve driver safety and reduce the risk of accidents:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control

  • Forward Collision Warning-Plus

  • Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist

  • Drowsy Driver Detection

  • Traffic Sign Recognition

  • ParkSense front/rear park assist​​.

The trucks also feature the latest Uconnect 5 infotainment system with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, dual wireless phone charging pads, and a fully digital rearview mirror that enhances visibility when towing​​.
