Kathryn shares how her early work in marketing, publishing, and technology led to the National Ford Truck Club and Ford Trucks magazine, where she got a front-row seat to the upfitters, dealers, and end users who keep the commercial vehicle world moving.
Then she walks through the “brain exploding” moment that sparked Work Truck Solutions: you can search for a vehicle by VIN when the OEM builds it, but once it’s upfitted, the details that matter most to commercial buyers often disappear online. So Work Truck Solutions created tools that help make commercial inventory searchable by what the truck became, like a dump truck, flatbed, plumbing truck, landscaping truck, and more.
And because this is Faces of Fleet, we also get into her hobby: fencing. Kathryn didn’t start until she turned 50, fell in love with it, and ended up competing at the World Cup in France with the U.S. senior team. Casual.
