Nexcom VTC 1000
NEXCOM's VTC 1000 Vehicle PC embedded with Intel Atom E640 processor and EG20T chipset is ready to hit the road. Though compact in size, VTC 1000 is packed with notable features including SMS wakeup, accelerometer, GPS receiver, CAN connectivity, WWAN/WLAN connectivity, and vehicle power management tools. Suitable for operation in extreme temperatures and able to support a wide variety of power inputs, the compact and fanless VTC 1000 can be squeezed into space-critical applications. VTC 1000 is at the core of fleet management solutions which help clients boost productivity and cut cost.
Petite Vehicle-PC Stands Tall
VTC 1000 runs on a low power Intel Atom processor E640 with EG20T chipset and on-board 1GB DDR2 RAM. Targeting small form factor systems, E640 incorporates Intel Hyper-Threading and Intel Virtualization Technology, and enables the VTC 1000 to achieve high efficiency with ultra-low power consumption. Therefore, the compact and fanless VTC 1000 can fit perfectly into space-limited, power sensitive and poor ventilation mobile environments such as taxies, buses and trucks.
Driving Toward Efficiency
Equipped with WWAN module, VTC 1000 can download and upload data and patch software. VTC 1000 can be activated remotely by real-time short message service (SMS) over WWAN anytime, anywhere. This unique feature facilitates system operation and maintenance and therefore increases productivity.
VTC 1000 is also equipped with an accelerometer and capable of monitoring drivers' behavior. Working jointly with GPS receiver and alternative dead reckoning function, the Vehicle PC can make driving routes traceable even without a GPS signal. Raising driver awareness will improve both driver's safety and a company's cost structure.
Smart Power Management Protects Your Investment
VTC 1000 is equipped with Smart Power Management which protects the system from damage or premature failure caused by spikes in voltages. The ignition delay feature via software control will make this Vehicle PC immune to inevitable voltage fluctuations. The low voltage protection feature will force the system to safely boot-up and shutdown to ensure valuable data is not lost.
Other features of VTC 1000 include numerous I/O expansion ports, CAN Bus support and optional WWAN/Bluetooth module. The Vehicle PC can operate at a temperature range of -20~70℃ with wide DC power input of 6~36V.
