National Crane has launched a new addition to its line of boom trucks. The NBT40-2 series draws inspiration from the popular NBT50L series, upgrading the product in terms of capacity, reach, comfort, and advanced features while maintaining the same weight as the previous model NBT40-1.
It is ideal for commercial or residential construction, as well as in utility and tree service applications when 200 plus feet of platform height is needed.
The NBT40-2 is available with an 80,000- or 90,000 pound capacity, and a 127-foot or 142-foot main boom. It will offer a two-piece 31-55 foot telescoping jib and a maximum tip height of 150 feet, which can extend to 204 feet with the jib.
The turntable and torsion box have been redesigned for a solid feel and the boom has been reengineered for increased boom stiffness to maximize load chart and minimize flex.
The latest addition to National Crane’s popular NBT boom truck range, the NBT40-2 series is manufactured at the company’s factory in Shady Grove, Pa.
