G-Stor Go Type 4 Carbon Composite Cylinders
The G-Stor Go line will offer a wide range of cylinder sizes and capacities suitable for medium-duty and heavy-duty vehicle fuel systems.

Luxfer’s 22-inch diameter G-Stor Go cylinders are built around a purpose-engineered lightweight boss and high-density polymer-liner interface designed to ensure the highest levels of performance and gas retention.
Luxfer Gas Cylinders introduced its G-Stor Go line of Type 4 carbon composite alternative fuel (AF) cylinders at the ACT Expo tradeshow May 5-8 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif.
The latest addition to Luxfer’s growing G-Stor line of lightweight cylinders for containment of clean-burning, environmentally friendly compressed natural gas (CNG), the G-Stor Go line will offer a wide range of cylinder sizes and capacities suitable for medium-duty and heavy-duty vehicle fuel systems. With a full operating pressure of 3,600 psi (248 bar), these Type 4 (polymer-lined) cylinders are ideal for end-users and fuel system manufacturers requiring cylinders with outside diameters of 22 inches or more.
Available in multiple capacities, Luxfer’s 22-inch diameter G-Stor Go cylinders are built around a purpose-engineered lightweight boss and high-density polymer-liner interface designed to ensure the highest levels of performance and gas retention. Luxfer’s Type 4 liners have corrosion-resistant, seamless body construction that is free of inherent leak paths. Offering an optimal balance between weight and durability, G-Stor Go cylinders feature high-strength carbon-fiber and epoxy-mix overwraps instead of hybrid carbon-and-fiberglass overwraps often used in competing products.
Luxfer is in the process of expanding its G-Stor Go product range to include 26-inch-diameter cylinders and accessories for the rapidly growing Class 8 heavy-duty truck market. These new products—scheduled to be available later this year—will be produced at Luxfer Utah, a recently acquired, dedicated Type 4 cylinder manufacturing facility.
“By introducing the G-Stor Go product line, Luxfer is now the largest cylinder manufacturer offering both Type 3 and Type 4 composite cylinders for CNG,” said Mark Lawday, Luxfer’s director of business development for alternative fuel. “Customers who need the larger diameters possible with Type 4 will now be able to get class-leading products along with first-class service, design expertise and volume capability that have made Luxfer the world’s premium high-pressure cylinder manufacturer.”
