Vicinity Motor Corp., a North American supplier of commercial electric vehicles, announces the signing of two new distribution agreements in Canada.
The first agreement is to launch Peninsula VMC Truck Centre, a new VMC specific dealership for the southern Toronto, Canada region. Under the agreement, Peninsula VMC Truck Centre will distribute Vicinity VMC 1200 trucks throughout the cities of Hamilton, Burlington, Brantford, and Niagara.
The second agreement is with Shift EV Trucks to open Vicinity Trucks West Toronto, a new VMC specific dealership in West Toronto. Shift EV Trucks is owned by Paul Repar, who has a 30-year automotive and transportation career, including previous roles with Ford, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW Canada.
Vicinity Trucks West Toronto will distribute Vicinity VMC 1200 trucks throughout western Toronto, expanding Shift EV Trucks' portfolio of electric vehicles and allowing them to offer dedicated commercial EV solutions to businesses and government fleets.
According to William Trainer, Founder and CEO of Vicinity Motor Corp., "These partnerships demonstrate our commitment to working with successful EV dealers across Canada and North America, empowering them to seize the significant commercial EV opportunity. Both Peninsula VMC Truck Centre and Vicinity Trucks West Toronto are well-positioned to serve their respective regions with the game-changing VMC 1200, which offers immediate cost savings and reduces carbon emissions for commercial fleet operators."
