To streamline operations, domestic truck production sites will be consolidated from five to three by the end of 2028, focusing on the Kawasaki, Koga, and Nitta plants. Hino’s Hamura plant will transfer to Toyota, and Mitsubishi Fuso’s Nakatsu operations will merge into the Kawasaki site.
ARCHION will also accelerate investment in CASE technologies (Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric) and hydrogen fuel cell systems, leveraging Toyota’s and Daimler Truck’s expertise to advance zero-emission mobility and connected fleet solutions.

The deal will proceed to closing subject to approval from the relevant boards, shareholders, and authorities.
The four companies have been seeking a meaningful way to create the future of commercial vehicles through this collaboration. Based on the common desire to “contribute to an affluent society through mobility,” the four companies are proceeding with their collaboration, a press statement said.
