Big news came from the OEM world over the past week, with new models announced, future plans discussed, and several recalls.

Toyota revealed the 2020 Tacoma at the Chicago Auto Show, which opened to the public on Feb. 8.

Ahead of the show, Chevrolet unveiled the 2020 Silverado HD at the General Motors Flint Assembly Plant. Automotive Fleet Editor Eric Gandarilla was on the scene and snapped some photos at the event.

Ford announced the 2020 F-Series Super Duty pickup, which will be built at the company’s Kentucky Truck Plant and Ohio Assembly Plant.

Ram Trucks introduced its 2019 Ram 1500, with an innovative MultiFunction tailgate and retractable tailgate step for easier access to the truck bed. The company also introduced the 2019 Ram 3500, 4500, and 5500 chassis cab trucks. In addition, Ram issued two recalls: one affecting 160,000 2019 Ram 1500 pickups and another affecting 660,000 Ram 3500 pickups and 2500 and 3500 chassis cabs.

For fleets interested in green options, XL announced it would debut a plug-in hybrid version of the Ford F-250 pickup at the Work Truck Show 2019 in March.
