Telogis Inc. has enhanced its driver safety capabilities with the introduction of Telogis Driver Scorecard — part of the Telogis fleet software-as-a-service (SaaS) fleet management system — which is designed to more easily manage and communicate the behaviors that directly influence driver and asset safety.

Telogis Driver Scorecard offers the metrics to identify risky driving behaviors, improve safety, and reduce the time and costs associated with accidents. The platform’s safety scorecard leverages InSight Alerts to trend driver behavior over time to positively impact safety and driver behavior trends.

Telogis Fleet is part of the Telogis platform of SaaS location intelligence solutions that includes Telogis Route, Telogis Progression and Telogis Mobile — providing fleet management, multi-vehicle route optimization and planning, work order management and mobile integration on a single platform.

“With Telogis Driver Scorecard, we’re able to configure the scorecard to the needs of each fleet,” said Sean McCormick, product manager, Telogis Fleet. “From standard metrics to configurable weightings, we’re able to identify risky driving behavior. With the combination of Driver Scorecards, real-time alerts and enterprise dashboards, Telogis enables companies to create better safe driving awareness programs and sustainable driving pattern changes, resulting in significantly improved safety.”

InSight Alerts can also be programmed for real-time feedback to supervisors. Being able to measure and ensure that fleet exhibits safe driving behaviors is valuable for potential insurance discounts, as well as to reduce workers compensation claims and to improve vehicle maintenance, according to the company.
